Future Initiatives
Creating a care package designed for couples to take with them when going to hospitals/clinics for IVF treatments. This package includes things that a couple will need with them that they may have not thought of, as well as thoughtful treats.
Anniversaries can be a time of tremendous mixed emotion and pain. On the one hand it is a celebration of the gift of Hashem having given the couple to each other, on the other hand it is a stark reminder of the void they have in their lives not having children. As the years go on, this becomes increasingly more difficult and painful. From the 2nd anniversary onwards, we will send both a restaurant voucher and a gift, giving a little sweetness into a tough situation they are in.
Chagim are often the hardest time for a couple struggling with infertility. Many Chagim are child focused, as well as family time, where their void is exacerbated. At these difficult times, we want to give couples the message that they are thought of and not alone in the pain, there are those who get it and really care.
Couples coming to one of the KO locations, currently have to bring all their food with them. This is far from ideal, as many times couples arrive directly from the hospital or straight from a treatment clinic. There are also times when women are after difficult treatments or miscarriages and are not able to prepare shabbos. We would like to provide food for these couples.
Providing couples (likely mainly the women) with the pampering and physical recovery from grueling treatments that take a tremendous toll emotionally and physically.
